Seahawks Complete Day One of NEC Championships

New Haven, CT - The Wagner swimming team completed the first of three days at the Northeast Conference Championships, holding steady in second place.

The 200 freestyle relay team kicked the day off with a second place 1:40.40 finish, recording their best time of the year. Junior Alexandra Tomlinson (Telford, PA/Souderton) kept things rolling with a second place finish of her own in the 500 freestyle, clocking in at 5:01.46. In the 200 IM, sophomore Melanie Rodriguez-Lapman (Chesire, CT/Chesire) took third place with a time of 2:11.68 while seniors Halley Allen (Bryan, TX/Bryan) and Lindsey Rodgers (Anaheim Hills, CA/Fullerton JC) took second and fourth place in the 50 freestyle, finishing 24.52 and 24.81 respectively. Closing for the Seahawks, the 400 medley relay team boasted a second place finish with a time of 4:02.98.

The second day of the NEC Championships begins at 10:00 AM February 16th in New Have, CT.
