Men's Tennis Closes Out Fall Season With Loss To Saint Peter's

Wagner concluded its fall season with a 7-0 loss to Saint Peter's and is now 0-8 while the Peacocks improve to 2-2.

At No. 1 singles, freshman Marcelo Ensignia (Madrid, Spain / Saint Andrew's Academy) lost to Tony Wilkey 6-2, 6-2. At No. 2 singles, sophomore Yirmeyah Beckles (Cincinnati, OH / Aquinas College) was felled 6-1, 6-2 by JJ Gramatica. Senior Sheldon Wilson (Albany, NY / Albany) lost by a 6-1, 6-1 count to Peter Czajka. Junior Ben Serbiak (Washington Crossing, PA / Holy Ghost Prep) fared no better at No. 4 singles, falling 6-0, 6-1 to Chris Frakes. At the five-spot, freshman Robert Santana (North Haledon, NJ / Manchester Regional) lost by the same score to Kevin Naranjo. Rounding out singles' play, classmate Max Gardner (Wilton, CT / Wilton) was blanked by Jake Baranowski 6-0, 6-0.

Saint Peter's won the doubles' point sweeping all three matches.
