Men's Golf Finishes 10th at Hawk Invitational

Lakewood, NJ - The Wagner College men's golf team finished 10th out of 10 teams after the final round yesterday of the two-day, second annual Monmouth University Hawk Invitational at Eagle Ridge Golf Course.

Sophomore Matt Wagner (State College, PA/Huntington Area) tied with fellow sophomore Chris Meehan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Morristown Beard) for the low Seahawk score after two days with a 167, good enough for a tie for 40th. Wagner fired off an 85, while Meehan was four strokes better on the day with an 81.

Sophomore Christopher Fourman (Greenville, OH/Greenville) also shot a final round 85 yesterday, putting him just one stroke behind his fellow sophomores with a 168 for the tournament. He finished in a tie for 42nd.

Freshman Kyle Karker (Skaneateles, NY/Skaneateles) equaled his score from yesterday with a 97 giving him a two-round tally of 194 which put him in 50th place.
