Jersey City, NJ - The Wagner women's swimming team defeated the Peacocks of Saint Peter's College at the Yanitelli Center as they took first place in eight of the 11 events during their fifth meet of the year.
Freshman Sarah Plucinsky (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) led the Seahawks top efforts with a win in the 200 yard freestyle at 1:59.70 and a second place finish in the 500 yard free-style in 5:36.72. Seniors Jess Radka (Reading, PA/Holly Name) and Halley Allen (Bryan, TX/Bryan) each had wins of their own as Radka took the 50 yard freestyle while Allen was the first to finish in the 100 yard individual medley. Both Radka and Allen were also part of the winning 200 yard medley relay as well.
Other Seahawk standouts include senior Lindsey Rogers' (Anaheim Hills, CA/Canyon, Fullerton JC) win in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.24, junior Alexandra Tomlinsons' (Telford, PA/Souderton) 31.87 win in the 50 yard backstroke and freshman Caitlin Moore-Penaskovic's (Dover, NH/Dover) first place finish in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:36.72.
The Seahawks return to the pool on Friday, November 9th, as they hit the road to take on New Jersey Institute of Technology.
