Hillsborough, NJ - Junior Christopher Fourman (Greenville, OH/Greenville) shot a final round 87 to finish in a tie for 22nd place overall to lead the Seahawks to a sixth place finish (out of eight teams) at Fairleigh Dickinson's Knights Invitational yesterday afternoon.
He shot an opening round 76 on Monday.
The Seahawks finished just seven strokes behind the fifth place Peacocks of St. Peter's College with a combined team score of 680.
Rutgers University won the tournament with a team score of 595. They were lead by J.F. Sorbella who claimed the individual crown with an two-day score of 141 (66/75).
Other notable scores on the Green & White side were Jeffrey Smolar (Fr., Jackson, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) who finished with a two-day score of 168 (80/88) good enough for a 26th place tie, Connor Popp (Fr., Syracuse, NY/Westhill) who matched Smolar with another 168 (85/83), and Thomas Abramoski (Fr., Poughkeepsie, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) who finished the tournament with a 181 (91/90).
Freshman Brian Conlan (Highland Milles, NY/John S. Burke Catholic) bested his opening round of 99 with a final round 91, placing him in a tie for 40th overall.
