Seahawks Conclude Fall Slate With Loss Against Rider

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner men's tennis team concluded their fall season with a 7-0 loss to Rider at the Wagner Tennis Courts. The Seahawks fall to 1-6 while the Broncs are now 3-6.

At No. 1 singles, senior Adam Amster (Concord, MA / Concord-Carlisle) lost a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Casey Jedlinski. Sophomore John LeBlanc (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) dropped a tough three-set match to Josh Rultenberg 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 at second singles. At No. 3 singles, sophomore Ben Serbiak (Washington Crossing, PA / Holy Ghost Prep) was defeated 6-2, 6-1 by Will Haight. Marc Ashed beat sophomore Byron Clohessy 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Junior Will Shuler (Springfield, MA / Central Springfield) was felled by Chris Esposito 6-0, 6-1 at the five spot. Rounding out singles' play, Sheldon Wilson lost to Robert Olsen 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6.

Rider captured the doubles' point after winning all three matches.
