Wagner Falls 5-0 To Top Seeded Quinnipiac

WEST WINDSOR, NJ - The Wagner College Seahawks found out why Quinnipiac was the top-seeded team at the NEC Tennis Championships falling to the Bobcats 5-0 earlier today in West Windsor, NJ. With the loss the eighth seeded Seahawks fall to 6-14 on the season.

Sophomore Aarti Mahtani (Montego Bay, JA / Saint Andrew's), classmate Pooja Patel (East Greenwich, RI / East Greenwich) and senior Kim Pecinovsky (Plympton, MA / Silver Lake Regional) all dropped singles' matches for Wagner.

Senior Megan Owen (Central Islip, NY / Central Islip) and Mahtani fell at one doubles while sophomore Marie Crane (Cheshire, CT / Cheshire) and Patel lost at No. 2 doubles.

The Seahawks will conclude their season tomorrow, April 22 at 9 am with a match against local-rival Monmouth in the consolation bracket.
