LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -The Wagner College men's tennis team was blanked 7-0 at Rider. The Green & White are now 2-11 on the season.
Senior Steve Johnsen (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles to Ragdee Saberon. At No. 2, sophomore Adam Amster (Concord, MA / Concord-Carlisle) dropped a 6-0, 7-5 decision to Chris Stanco. Senior Brandon Sogluizzo (Staten Island, NY / Curtis) was blanked by Casey Jedlinski 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. At No. 4, graduate student Scott Chamberlin (Torrington, CT / Torrington / Western New England) lost 6-2, 6-0 to Mike Greenberg. Rounding out singles play, sophomore Will Shuler (Springfield, MA / Central Springfield) was set down 6-1, 6-0 at the five spot .
At No. 1 doubles Johnsen and Amster lost 8-5 while Chamberlin and Sogluizzo were defeated 8-1 at No. 2
The Seahawks wrap up their regular season with a 1 pm match on Saturday, April 15 at FDU.
