Kissimmee, FL - Wagner completed the two win morning with an 11-2 five inning victory over Rider at the Oren Brown Complex
Katie Stevens was again the star of the second game as she bounced the first pitch she saw off the top of the center field fence for her first homerun of the season and a 1-0 lead. In the second after junior Christina Hopkins (Edison, NJ / Edison) and Joy Gallagher singled, Stevens blasted a three run shot over the fence in right giving Wagner a 4-1 lead.
The Seahawks then batted around in the fourth inning scoring six runs to break the game open. Senior Christy Sykora (Orland Park, IL / Carl Sandburg) and freshman Jaclyn Vanore (Palisades Park, NJ / Paramus Catholic) each knocked in two runs, while Iwicki and senior Gia Grimaldi (Hauppauge, NY / Hauppauge) chipped in RBI singles.
Rider would add one run in the bottom of the inning before Gallagher tripled and scored to sealed the game for the Seahawks and enforce the eight run mercy rule.
Junior Dara Gadzialla (E. Brunswick, NJ / E. Brunswick) picked up her first win of the year giving up four hits and two runs, with three strikeouts.
Eight of the nine starters hit in the game for the Seahawks.
Wagner is back in action on Thursday vs Bucknell and Colgate.
