Seahawks End Season with 77-66 Come From Behind Win at Mount St. Mary's

Emmitsburg, MD - The Seahawks ended their 2005-06 season with an impressive 77-66 come from behind win at Mount St. Mary's. Wagner closes out the season winning three of their final four ball games to jumpt to 13-14 overall and 6-12 in the NEC.

Durell Vinson led the way with his 13th double-double of the year scoring 22 points with 13 rebounds. Three other players also reached double figures as Matt Vitale totaled 17 points and Mark Porter and Joey Mundweiler put up 15 each.

Wagner trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half before Mundweiler ended the half with a 6-0 run of his own. The redshirt freshman was fouled and made three straight free throws with 1.5 seconds in the half and then stole the inbounds pass and hit a 38-foot three at the buzzer to leave the Seahawks down by 7 (45-38) at halftime.

Wagner continued the run in the second half with an 8-2 run to pull within one point 47-46. The Seahawks would not retake the lead until a few minutes later when a 17-4 run turned a 50-46 defict into a 63-53 lead.

Mount responded with a 10-0 stretch to tie the game, before Wagner sealed the win scoring nine unanswered for control of the game lead 74-65 with 1:41 to play.
