Wagner Falls 6-1 At Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Wagner Seahawks concluded their fall season with a 6-1 loss at Rider today in a match that was suspended earlier this month due to inclement weather. The Green & White end their fall season with a 0-4 record while the Broncs improve to 5-7.

At No. 1 singles, sophomore Brittany Frazza (West Caldwell, NJ / Morris Catholic) fell 6-1, 6-0 to Caitlin Crawbuck.. Crawbuck's sister Devin defeated junior Aarti Mahtani (Montego Bay, Jamaica / Saint Andrews's) at second singles in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. At No. 3, classmate Pooja Patel (East Greenwich, RI / East Greenwich) lost 6-1, 6-0 to Danielle Morse. Fellow junior Marie Crane (Cheshire, CT / Cheshire) was blanked 6-0, 6-0 by Kristina Paich. At No. 5, Valerie LeCureux (Jamison, PA / Central Bucks East) lost 6-2, 6-2 to Kelly-Ann Chouinard. Freshman Sara Pancurak (Toms River, NJ / Peddie School) won at six singles by forfeit for the Green & White's lone single win of the day.

In doubles action, Rider won the point by winning the No. 1 and No. 2 matches. Frazza and Crane were toppled by Crawbuck and Crawbuck 8-0 at No. 1. At second doubles, Morse and Paich won 8-1 over Mahtani and Patel. LeCureux and Pancurak won by default at No. 3 doubles.
