Additionally, sophomore Halley Allen (Bryan, TX/Bryan) just missed out on a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle losing to the Lion's Mary McCue by 36 tenths of a second.
While the Seahawks did not win the 800-yard freestyle relay, Montgomery got off to a blistering start in the relay notching a time of 1:55.87 in her 200-yard portion of the race which will put her among the league leaders in the Northeast Conference.
The Seahawks now have a long break before competing again. Their next scheduled meet is set for January 7, 2006 at Northeast Conference foe Gardner-Webb.
