Box Score
New Britain, CT - Wagner lost their second conference game of the season earlier today against Central Connecticut State. The Seahawks (0-8-1) are still having trouble with their offense producing the goals necessary to get the win.
The Blue Devils took twice as many shots (15-6) than the Seahawks and seemed to control most of the play. The first half remained scoreless as both teams fought vigorously to produce a goal.
Eleven minutes into the second half, CCSU's sophomore Kari Mancini scored the first and only goal of the game getting an assist from senior Jen Frisch. The Seahawks only took three shots during the second half, all of which were wide.
In goal for Wagner, freshman Leslie Reed (Indian Harbour Beach, FL / Satellite) collected four saves for the game. This loss brings the Seahawks to (0-2) in the conference.
The Seahawks' determination to win shows while they are on the field, they need only to capitalize on a few of their shots for the wins to come.
Wagner gets back in action this Friday taking on St. Francis (PA) at home at 4:00 pm.
