Julian Ortiz joined the Wagner football staff in the spring of 2024 after previously serving as the co-offensive coordinator at Fitchburg State University.
At Fitchburg State, Ortiz was also in charge of coaching the wide receivers and tight ends.
Ortiz was a tight end at Nicholls College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2023. At Nicholls, Ortiz was a two-time Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference selection.
Ortiz also served as a manager for the Nicholls men’s basketball team as well as an orientation leader.
Apart from his coaching duties on Grymes Hill, Ortiz will be pursuing a Master’s Degree at Wagner.
