Declan McQueeney joined the Wagner men’s basketball staff in the summer of 2025.
Before arriving on Grymes Hill, McQueeney served as the Assistant Director of the Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp in Stroudsburg, Pa. In that role, he created schedules and oversaw daily operations for up to 250 athletes ranging from ages 9–17, while also hiring and supervising coaches, conducting skill workouts, and organizing player development activities.
From 2021 to 2024, McQueeney also worked as a coach and trainer at the Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp, where he led skill development sessions, coached athletes in game situations, and emphasized values such as confidence, work ethic, and teamwork. In addition, he spent three seasons as a student manager with the St. Bonaventure women’s basketball program, assisting with practices, scouting, game preparation, and equipment organization.
McQueeney further gained experience as an intern with St. Bonaventure Strength and Conditioning, helping implement workouts for the men’s and women’s rugby programs as well as men’s hockey. He has also been active in service, volunteering with the Allegany SPCA in New York.
A native of Netcong, New Jersey, McQueeney earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies with a concentration in Coaching and Human Performance from St. Bonaventure University in May 2025.
