Megan Zarriello embarks on her second year at Wagner as an Assistant Coach for the women's swimming & diving team.
Zarriello, a Garden City, NY native, began her collegiate career at the University of Maryland but transferred to Fordham University for the remainder of her time after the University of Maryland decided to cut its swimming program.
A key contributor for the Rams swimming program, Zarriello placed sixth in the 500yd Freestyle at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championships with a time of 4:53.56. Additionally, she touched the wall in eighth place in the 1650yd Freestyle with a mark of 17:07.57.
Zarriello was Fordham’s top performer in the 500 and 1000 freestyle for the 2013-14 season while also finishing the 2012-13 season as the Ram’s top 500 freestyler. For her Fordham career, she scored at the Atlantic 10 Championships in both the 500 and 1650 freestyle every season.
Zarriello comes to Grymes Hills after spending time with Swim Across America in which she was a Participant and Event Coordinator. In this role, she created promotional materials to dispense across the various social media platforms of Swim Across America while also assisting in several fundraiser initiatives.
In addition to her coaching duties with the Seahawks, Zarriello will be pursuing an MBA after graduating this past May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Â
