Wagner College Athletics

Ella Wagner joined the Swim & Dive coaching staff in the summer of 2025.

As a student, Wagner swam competitively at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in marketing. She was named the team captain her junior and senior year and holds school records for both the 200 breaststroke and the 400 medley relay. Wagner won a silver medal and three bronze medals at the 2025 GLIAC Swim & Dive Championships, and qualified for the national championships her senior year in the 200 Breaststroke and 200 IM.

Prior to her collegiate career, Wagner coached at Swim Club Steinhagen-Amshausen in her hometown of Steinhagen, Germany. She also currently currently works for the German recruiting agency Scholarbook in Karlsruhe, where she assists international swimmers seeking U.S. swimming scholarships.

Wagner is currently working towards her MBA in Management at Wagner College.
