Ashley Castanio

Ashley Castanio is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Wagner women’s soccer program after a successful goalkeeping career at Stony Brook University.
Castanio specializes in working with goalkeepers and brings previous coaching experience from Stony Brook University and L.I. Elite Soccer Camps to Grymes Hill. Also, Castanio was a talent evaluator at the Olympic Developmental Program. Aside from her coaching responsibilities, Castanio will pursue her Master’s in Business Administration.

As a player for the Seawolves, Castanio was named America East Goalkeeper of the Year and won First-Team All-Conference honors in 2013, while earning the Team MVP award in 2014. During her senior campaign, the Oceanside, NY native recorded three shutouts and started every game in goal.

Castanio possesses a degree in Mathematics Education from Stony Brook and the National “D” coaching license.
