Marc-André Roy

Marc-André Roy enters his second year at Wagner as Men's and Women's Water Polo Assistant Coach.

Roy comes to Grymes Hill by way of Whittier College, where he was a two-year member of the Poets’ men’s water polo program. During his time there, Roy helped the team to an overall record of 32 wins and 26 losses, including a trip to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship in 2017.

Prior to his career as a Poet, the Quebec, Canada native attended San Diego Mesa College where he helped lead the Olympians to a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) Championship in 2015 and was named First-Team All-Conference in 2015 and 2016.

No stranger to coaching, Roy began his career as a coach with the Dollard-Des-Ormeaux Civic Center in Montreal, Canada in September of 2014. Roy supervised and directed a young group of athletes, while also taking charge of recruiting talent to the team.

Roy will assist Wolohan in further building the Wagner men's water polo program, which enters its fourth season of existence in 2019. Last season, the Seahawks posted their best overall record in team history, ending with a record of 18-14.

Along with his coaching responsibilities at Wagner, Roy will pursue a Masters of Business Administration.
