Jessica O’Brien was named assistant women’s lacrosse coach in August, 2008 following a stellar playing career at Marist College. At Wagner, O’Brien will assist head coach Cristina Curiale while pursuing a masters in business administration.
Throughout her Marist career, O’Brien was a productive midfielder despite being slowed by a recurring knee injury that required surgery. As a sophomore, she played in all 16 games and gained 13 starts. She led the Red Foxes that year in caused turnovers with 22 and was second in ground balls (35) and draw controls (19).
Prior to enrolling at Marist, O’Brien was an honor roll student and an All-County player at Wantagh High where she also played varsity soccer for four years, ran varsity winter track for two seasons and was a member of the basketball team.
