Thomas Ferrante is joining the Seahawks in 2020 as a volunteer coach for the women's fencing team.
A former team captain at Boston University for the 2017 season and student assistant coach between 2018 and 2019, Ferrante comes to Grymes Hill with experience as a student-athlete and coach at the Division I level.
At Boston University, Ferrante led more than 70 student athletes for daily practices, consisting of conditionings and fencing specific drills, leading his team to club nationals in 2020.
Under his leadership, Ferrante’s teams earned the best women’s combined club team award while his Epee squad placed in New England.
On the operations side, Ferrante managed meets and tournaments hosted by Boston University’s fencing team.
In addition to his coaching duties, Ferrante is pursuing his Master’s Degree in Business Administration while attending Wagner.
