Michele Daniels

Former Monmouth University standout Michele Daniels embarks on her first season as asssitant coach of the Wagner cross country and track & field program. 

A native of Schwenksville, PA, Daniels was named team captain for the Hawks’ cross country and track and field team. This past spring, she competed in the 4x400, 800, 4x800, 1500 in addition to competing in two races during the cross country season.

Daniels posted her fastest time on the cross country circuit, finishing the 5K Jasper Invitational (2/20/21) among the top-20 with a time of 19:35.0 earlier this year.

On the track, she competed in the 4x400, 800, 4x800, and 1500. She set personal-bests in the 800m (2:20.38) at the Rider vs. Monmouth Meet (4/10/21) and in the 1500m at the 2021 Monmouth Spring Invitational, crossing the finish line in 4:56.50.

She was also part of the 4x800 quartet that took home first-place honors at the 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships with a finals time of 2:21.35.

A three-time All-MAAC Academic Team selection, Daniels also served as a student-athlete peer mentor for FLIGHT Academy and a mentor with the Special Olympics.

She will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Microbiology at Wagner in addition to her day-to-day coaching responsibilities.
