Former Union County College men’s and women’s cross country and track & field head coach Kyle Duggan has been named as an assistant coach for the Seahawks’ track & field program.

Duggan is no stranger to Grymes Hill. He graduated from Wagner College in 2015 with a Master’s degree in childhood education and special education. While with the Seahawks, he served as a graduate assistant with the track & field program.

For his undergraduate years, Duggan attended UConn where he served as team captain for the track & field team for three years. He was also an All-Big East first teamer for three consecutive years and earned UConn’s Outstanding Senior Athlete Award in 2012.

In between his coaching days with Wagner and Union County College, Duggan served as an FDNY firefighter while simultaneously working as a special education teacher in Brooklyn, NY.

Duggan’s return to the track & field scene in September paved the way for his return to Wagner. The Staten Island native now joins Joe Stasi’s staff for the upcoming season.
