First-year head softball coach
Lindsey Ubrun has announced the hiring of Lindsay Mayer as an assistant coach.
Mayer, a graduate of Fordham University, was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year in 2016 and a two-time NFCA All-Region Third -Team selection as an infielder, finishing her career with a .335 batting average, 137 RBI, 119 runs, 67 walks, and a .402 on-base percentage, all of which rank in the top-10 all-time in Fordham history.
Academically, Mayer was voted a CoSIDA Academic All-American as well as the to Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team as a junior while also being a member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Mayer helped the Rams to a 46-17 record, an Atlantic 10 Championship and a spot in the NCAA Regional Championship as a senior in 2017 as well as a 39-21 record as a junior.
Originally from Lincoln, RI, Mayer graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, as well as a minor in Marketing. In addition to her coaching responsibilties, Mayer will pursue a Master's Degree in Business Administration at Wagner.
