T.J. Moriarty

T.J. Moriarty begins his sixth season at Wagner College where he handles quarterback instruction.

Moriarty is beginning his third season tutoring the Seahawks’ multi-dimensial quarterback Nick Dosher. In 2009, Doscher was named First-Team All-Northeast Conference (NEC)  and he followed that up with stellar sophomore campaign in 2010 when he passed for 2 ,074 yards and 18 touchdowns. The 2,074 yards passing ranked second in the NEC as did his 188.5 yards passing per game

He came to Grymes Hill after spending one year as an assistant coach at his alma mater Stony Brook University.

While at Stony Brook for the 2005 season, Moriarty mentored the tight ends and the offensive line of the Seawolves, who captured a share of the NEC Championship. Prior to his one-year stint at his alma mater, he enjoyed a four-year career at quarterback for Stony Brook. A two-time captain Moriarty earned multiple all-conference and all-American accolades and is one of the top quarterbacks in the program’s history.

In 2004 Moriarty set a single-season record with 2,495 passing yards and for the second straight season led the NEC in total offense. He ranks second all-time in passing yardage, pass completions, completion percentage and passing touchdowns.

A Multidisciplinary major at Stony Brook, Moriarty is a 2001 graduate of Red Bank Catholic where he played quarterback for the Caseys of the Shore Conference. Moriarty earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from Wagner in May, 2007.
