Logi Portugal completed his first season with Wagner football as the Seahawks’ running backs coach in 2020-21, following a standout career at fellow Northeast Conference school Bryant.
At Bryant, Portugal played in 42 games at defensive back and was a captain during the 2019 season, playing for current Seahawk head coach Tom Masella, who served as the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator at the time.
Throughout his career, Portugal made 167 tackles while breaking up 12 passes and grabbing three interceptions.
Portugal also found his way into the Bryant record books, returning an interception 98 yards for a touchdown against Central Connecticut as a junior, which stands as the longest non-special teams play in program history.
