Wagner College Athletics

The Wagner College Athletic Department has announced plans to expand Wagner College Stadium. The expansion will include a brand new locker room, training room, training facility, equipment room, coaches office, conference room, multipurpose room, and hospitality room, which will serve to benefit Wagner's 28 athletic programs.In addition, the expansion will provide the opportunity to host additional external events for the Staten Island community.
 
The additions will allow football, women's soccer and men's and women's lacrosse to have permanent locker rooms at Wagner College Stadium while creating space for other Athletic programs in the Spiro Sports Center
"This project is an important step for our student-athletes, and one that will benefit all of our student-athletes, not just those who call Wagner College Stadium their home facility," said Walt Hameline, Director of Athletics. "The new layout will allow us to operate the athletic department more efficiently."

"On the heels of our successful campaign that made permanent lighting a reality at the stadium, these enhancements will serve to increase the flexibility of how we operate while enhancing the student-athlete experience at the same time," Hameline added. "The stadium expansion project will shed a visible and tangible light on our athletic programs. I believe also that the impact it will have on our recruiting will be significant." New Facility - $1,000,000 
The new facility will benefit all of Wagner College's student-athletes with a state of the art facility to call their home.  The facility features a host of new and exciting amenities, each of which will have a positive impact on the college experience of our more than 400 Seahawk student-athletes

Locker Room & Lounge - $500,000 
An additional varsity locker room will provide space for the football, men's and women's lacrosse, and women's soccer teams to have permanent, modern locker rooms at Wagner College Stadium.

Multi-Purpose Facility - $250,000
The multipurpose facility will be a great asset to the Seahawk student-athletes, coaches and the campus. The area will serve the possibility of meetings, film study, speakers and potentially classes.

Training Room - $150,000
A new training room at Wagner College Stadium will serve to enhance the overall health, fitness and wellness of Seahawk student-athletes by allowing the sports medicine staff the space and equipment needed to provide the best possible medical and physical rehabilitation care.

Conference Room - $100,000
The conference room will act as a meeting space for Seahawk coaching staffs and will benefit athletic programs in terms of gameplanning and striving towards excellence.

Hospitality Room - $100,000
The hospitality room will offer Seahawk fans a space to enjoy refreshments pregame and interact with coaches and players before and after games. It will provide fans with a new way to take in the traditional Wagner game day.
