Steven Krajewski, the Wagner College football team earned a convincing 28-17 victory over Stonehill on Saturday at Hameline Field.
Down 14-0 in the first quarter, the Seahawks fought their way back into the game in the second quarter. Krajewski connected with reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week
Jaylen Bonelli from nine yards out to get the Green and White on the board.
With less than four minutes to play in the first half, freshman
Zachary Ricci jumped in front of a quick pass and ran it back 49 yards to tie the game at 14-14.
The Seahawks weren't done yet in the first half, with Krajewski finding Bonelli for a spectacular touchdown catch with 17 seconds remaining in the second quarter to give Wagner its first lead of the game at 21-14. The Skyhawks added a field goal with time expiring to send both teams to the locker room with the score at 21-17.
Wagner's defense came out on fire in the second half, with seniors
Junior Wily and
Roberto Auguste recording interceptions to keep the Skyhawks off the scoreboard during the entirety of the second half.
Needing a drive to put the game away with 10 minutes left, the Seahawks went on an 11-play drive that covered 81 yards and lasted 5:30 minutes, capped by a 19-yard touchdown pass from Krajewski to junior
Guenson Alexis, sending the Seahawks home victorious.
Krajewski finished the day with 160 yards through the air and three touchdowns, while Bonelli caught five passes for 57 yards and two scores.
Defensively, Auguste led the Seahawks with 11 total tackles and an interception, while Wily totaled 10 stops on the afternoon.
Wagner has not allowed a point in the second half in two consecutive games. The Seahawks have not lost a game under head coach

Next up, Wagner will host Duquesne next Saturday, with kickoff set for noon at Hameline Field.
