Poughkeepsie, NY - The Wagner Seahawks dropped their second Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) game of the day, this time at the hands of the Siena Saints in a 14-12 overtime battle.

Out of the gate, the Seahawks came flying with senior Amber McMichael (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) scoring within the first minute to put Wagner up 1-0. But on came the Saints scoring twice to take the lead. The Green & White were not going to give up without a fight and came back strong with goals from junior Nicole Maichrowicz (Temple City, CA/Temple City) and senior Camille Karimazad (Walnut Creek, CA/Campolindo). Yvette Viramontes (Montebello, CA/Rio Hondo) and McMichael then countered Seina's two second quarter goals to aid the Seahawks to a 5-4 lead to end the first quarter. Though the Saints surmounted a charge of their own that resulted in a score, the Green & White came right back with goals from freshman Laura vanderBent (Shillington, PA/Mifflin) and once again Karimzad. With these two goals, Wagner went into the final minutes of play with an11-10 lead. But with 48 seconds left Siena scored, ultimately sending the game into extra play.

The Saints dominated in overtime, scoring twice before senior Billy Hoelck (San Diego, CA/University of San Diego HS) was able to score her first goal of the contest with nine seconds left in the first overtime. Siena added one more in the second overtime and came out victorious with a score of 14-12.
