#17 Indiana Downs Seahawks 13-9 In Final Game of Indiana Fluid Five

Bloomington, IN -- A day after giving 16th ranked Michigan all they could handle in a one goal loss, the Wagner College women's water polo team ran out of gas against 17th ranked Indiana earlier this morning in their final game of the Indiana Fluid Five Invitational. The Seahawks lost the contest 13-9 and with that their record falls to 14-10 on the season.

The Hoosiers jumped out to an 8-3 lead at the half leaving Wagner with alot of ground to make up in the second half. The Seahawks used a spirited third quarter to climb back into the game as they received goals from Alexandra Tomlinson (Telford, PA/Souderton), Billy Hoelck (San Diego, CA/U. of San Diego HS), Anne Wolkenhauer (Fullerton, CA/Fullerton Union) and Nicole Maichrowicz (Temple City, CA/Temple City). The Green & White trailed by just three 10-7 as played moved to the fourth quarter.

However the rally would fall short in the fourth quarter despite goals by Stacey Travous (New Ulm, MN/Cumberland Valley) and Camille Karimzad (Walnut Creek/Campolindo), as Indiana tacked on three more scores to seal the victory. Katie Hauck (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) and Jennifer Anderson (Whittier, CA/La Serna) again teamed in net combining for twelve saves.

The Seahawks have next weekend off before opening up MAAC play with games on April 7 against Iona and Siena in Loudonville, New York.
