Kissimmee, FL - The Seahawks completed play at the Rebel Games earlier this afternoon with a 4-0 win over Binghamton and an 8-5 loss to Florida A&M. The win in game one ran the Seahawks win streak to seven in a row, before the game two defeat. The Green and White posted a 10-4 record during the Games and head back north with a 10-9 overall record.

In game one vs Binghamton, junior Morgan Miller (Las Vegas, NV / Silverado) tossed her second consecutive shutout and ran her winning streak to seven straight with a complete game four hitter. Miller faced just 24 batters in the game and has allowed just one earned run in her last 33 innings on the mound.

With the pitching and defense rolling along senior Joy Gallagher (Hazleton, PA / Hazleton) provided the Seahwks with all the runs they would need in the bottom of the third inning. After sophomore Victoria Batistelli (Huntington Beach, CA / Huntington Beach) reached on an error to start the inning, sophomore Margaret Gallia (Las Vegas, NV / Community College HS) sacrificed her over to second.

Gallagher then bounced a shot back up the middle send Batistelli home as she just beat the throw in with a trademark headfirst slide.

Wagner would posted three insurance runs in the last of the sixth on a bases loaded walk from freshman Jaclyn Vanore (Palisades Park, NJ / Paramus Catholic) and a infield RBI single from junior Christina Hopkins (Edison, NJ / Edison) that sent two runners into score.

The Seahawks managed just four hits in the contest.

Wagner cut the deficit in half in the top of the third when sophomore Katie Stevens (Reno, NV / Wooster) singled and then came around to score as freshman Andrea Lazzari (Reno, NV / Wooster) reached on an error.

FAM blasted four more runs, two earned in the bottom of the inning to jump ahead 6-1. As they have all week the Seahawks bats came alive scoring four of their own in the top of the fifth to pull within one at 6-5.

Vanore started the scoring with a RBI single up the middle, followed two batters later by a two run, two out single to center off the bat of senior Christy Sykora (Orland Park, IL / Carl Sandburg). Senior Joy Gallagher (Hazleton, PA / Hazleton) forced another run home with a bases loaded walk, before strikeout with the bags still juiced ended the rally.

The Seahawks were unable to dent the scoreboard any more as the Rattlers added two more in the last of the sixth to help secure the win.

Hopkins was charged with the loss on the mound with four earned runs on four hits in four innings. She also had two hits in the game as did Sykora and Stevens for Wagner.

After a week off the Seahawks will return to action with a doubleheader at home vs Fordham on March 28. ~
