Wagner Falls To FDU In Volleyball Action

Hackensack, NJ - After taking the first game, the Wagner College women's volleyball team lost the last three games of the match to fall 3-1 to Fairleigh Dickinson University at the FDU Tournament. With the loss, the green and white move to 3-11 on the year while the Knights improve to 9-12 on the season.

The Seahawks came out of the gates red hot winning the first game 30-26 but then ran out of gas dropping the last three games 30-19, 30-21 and 30-20. As has been the case most of the year, the green and white struggled hitting the ball posting a hitting percentage of .000.

Freshman Kelly Kasper (West Windsor, NJ / Windsor Plainsboro South) and junior Anna Mooney (Nashua, NH / Nashua) led the way for the Seahawks as they each recorded double-doubles. Kasper had 38 out of the team's 39 assists to go along with 15 digs while Mooney had a team-best 15 kills and 14 digs.

Also standing out for the green and white were freshman Sirena LaBurn (Port Neches, TX / Port Neches) (13 kills), junior Kerry Krohn (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) (18 digs) and freshman Brandy Barnett (Claremont, CA / St. Lucy's Priory) (12 digs).

Wagner concludes action at the FDU tournament later today with a match against Manhattan.
