Annapolis, MD – The Wagner men's water polo team (13-16) edged Navy (8-16) in the first round of the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Tournament on Friday at Lejeune Hall and will now face top-seeded Bucknell on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The Green & White, who have now reached the semis for the first time in the two-year history of the program, opened up a 3-1 lead in the first period with back to-back-goals by freshman Jasmin Kolasinac (Belgrade, Serbia / King's College).  The Seahawks rallied off two more to advance the lead to 5-1 on goals from junior Teo Dadic (Dubrovnik, Croatia / Gimnazija Dubrovnik / Long Beach City College) and freshman Jack Leighton (Lake Forest, CA / El Toro).  Just before the conclusion of the second quarter, the Midshipmen were able to cut the Seahawk lead to one, 5-4, after scoring a pair of unanswered goals.
