3.11.2010 | Women's Water Polo

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College Water Polo team (7-8, 0-0 MAAC) will wrap up their west coast trip with six contests in four days in California. Wagner’s first doubleheader takes place today in Northbridge, CA, where the Seahawks will face off against No. 10 Cal. State University, Northbridge at 5:00 PM (EST) and Occidental College at 7:00 PM (EST).

Bethune Cookman Shuts Out Wagner 10-0

Daytona Beach, FL - Bethune Cookman shut out Wagner 10-0 behind 8.0 scoreless innings from junior LHP Roman Lancara at Jackie Robinson Park. Junior Kevin McDonnell continued his torrid hitting with two doubles in three trips to the plate and is batting .545 (6-11) on the Seahawks' annual spring break trip.

Clark’s Four Goals Not Enough as Wagner Drops 12-10 Decision to Siena

Staten Island, NY – Sophomore midfielder #Carolyn Clark# (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) matched her career high with four goals and senior goalie #Alex Johnston# (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) had 14 saves but it was not enough as Siena held on for a 12-10 victory over the Seahawks.

Seahawks Split a Pair at Rebel Games

Kissimmee, FL- The Wagner College softball team picked up its second win of the season today at the Rebel Spring Games. Wagner’s win came in the second game of the day against the University of Pennsylvania, 6-5. In game one, the Green & White were blanked by Loyola (Chicago) University 8-0.

Water Polo Tops Whittier 15-12

Thousand Oaks, CA – The Wagner Water Polo team closed out their run at the Cal. Lutheran Spring Classic with a 15-12 win over Whittier College. The Seahawks finish 3-1 in the weekend tournament and improve to 7-8 on the season.

Late Rally in the Sixth Lifts Wagner over Austin Peay, 5-4

Clearwater, FL- The Wagner College softball team broke its nine-game losing streak this morning with a 5-4 win over Austin Peay University (AP) at the University of South Florida’s Under Armor Invitational. With the win, the Seahawks improve to 1-9 on the season.
