Somerset, NJ – Senior diver
Sam Lavrich has been named the Northeast Conference's (NEC) Diver of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced today.
Lavrich once again delivered a stellar performance on the boards at the Fairfield Tri-Meet two weeks ago, as the Seahawks swept both the Stags and Saint Peter's. The senior won the 3-meter competition with 238.35 points, while finishing second on the 1-meter board with 223.57 points.
The senior, who holds the Wagner school record on the 1-meter board with 244.45 points, continues to lead the Seahawk diving squad after
winning the weekly award for her performance at the ECAC Championships in December and has now won three weekly awards in the last two seasons.
Combined with junior
Adrianna Warning, Wagner divers have now won the NEC's top weekly diving honor three times this season.
In addition to Lavrich's award, sophomore
Makenna Depuydt was named an #NECPrimePerformer after picking up four victories in the last two meets.
After swimming past Rhode Island last weekend, the Seahawks will next be in action in two weeks, as they welcome LIU Brooklyn to the Spiro Sports Center for a senior meet showdown at 1:00 pm.
