MAAC Players of the Week
Edison, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced this afternoon that Wagner center
Millie Pullyblank (Victoria, Australia / Haileybury Girls School) has been named MAAC Rookie of the Week. For Pullyblank, it marks the second time in her collegiate career that she garnered the weekly award.Â
Freshman center
Millie Pullyblank registered 12 points on ten goals and two assists as the Seahawks swept Siena, St. Francis, and Villanova this past weekend. The rookie's best performance came in Wagner's 19-5 victory over St. Francis, burying a team-high five goals and cashing a hat trick before the first quarter's end. Additionally, she collected a team-high four steals while forcing the Terriers to three exclusions. Earlier in the day, Pullyblank logged a hat trick against the Wildcats, netting a perfect 3-for-3 strikes for a 1.000 shot percentage, while adding two markers in the Green & White's 19-2 triumph over Siena.
Pullyblank leads the Seahawks in drawn exclusions (27) heading into tonight's match-up with league rival, Iona. Wagner previously defeated the Gaels 13-8 on March 18Â en route to their 5-0 MAACÂ record.Â
