Staten Island, NY - Wagner College will be celebrating the achievements of four of the most accomplished teams in the history of the football program on Saturday, October 14.
 
This year marks the 50th anniversary for the undefeated 1967 team and the 30th for the 1987 National Champion Seahawk squad. It also marks the 25-year reunion of the 1992 team while the 2012 team will come together for its five-year reunion.


 
The 1992 Seahawks finished the season as the ECAC Southeast Champions while compiling an 8-2 record. The Green & White of 2012 secured the first Northeast Conference Championship (NEC)in program history and a first-round victory in the NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs, which remains the lone playoff win by an NEC team. 
 
The joint reunions will coincide with the current Seahawks hosting Central Connecticut on Homecoming at Hameline Field with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.

All members of these four teams present for reunion weekend will be honored during the contest and privy to a pre-game reception, beginning at approximately 3:00 p.m., behind the stadium.

1987 National Championship Showing

To commemorate the 1987 Championship team, Wagner Athletics will be holding a private event for members of the 1987 team on Friday, October 13 where the national championship game will be displayed on the videoboard at Hameline Field. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. with hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages readily available. Please bring your own lawn chair if possible.
