Kimberly Watson (Pointe-Claire, Quebec/ John Rennie) have been selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week following their performances at the Bison Invitational, the league office announced today.
Riddle earns her
second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honor on the heels of a strong weekend highlighted by arguable her best performance to date as the Canadian native had 11 saves en route to holding the 10th ranked team in the nation, Long Beach State to three goals. Riddle led the Seahawks to a 2-1 record in the Bison Invitational as she accumulated 24 saves with a goals against average of 5.67.
Watson registered five goals over the weekend tournament including a four goal output in a Seahawk victory over MAAC foe VMI. The freshman also tallied four assists, four steals, two blocks, and drew one exclusion in a very balanced Bison Invitational performance.
