Carolyn Clark Named NEC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

Staten Island, NY - Senior attacker Carolyn Clark (Syracuse, NY/Westhill), who tied her career high with five goals on Saturday to help bring the Seahawks back within three goals of BIG EAST foe Villanova, was rewarded for efforts by being named Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week.

The Syracuse native exploded for three tallies in just less than three minutes midway through the second half to help spur the Seahawks comeback effort which came up short as the Wildcats pulled away. The five goals moved Clark into fifth on the Wagner's career goal list with 101. She also booked two ground balls and one draw control on the afternoon.

One of the most prolific school's offensive players in Seahawk history, Clark is now eighth on the school's all-time points list points list with 118 and is ninth all-time in draw controls with 87.

Clark will look to add to her offensive numbers as the Seahawks, who wound up on the short end of a 16-7 decision to Villanova, look to even their record at 1-1 when they play host to Patriot League foe Lafayette on Wednesday, February 22 at 4:00 p.m.
