Somerset, NJ –
The accolades continue for the red-hot Wagner women's lacrosse team as junior attack Marjorie Dehm has been named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week, while freshman midfielder Ally Alliegro earned her fourth rookie of the week this season, the league office announced on Monday.

The Seahawks picked up another two victories this past weekend, a 23-13 win at LIU Brooklyn on Friday, followed by a 16-11 decision on Sunday at Sacred Heart, in extending their winning streak to six and remaining undefeated NEC play. Wagner, which has now garnered nine weekly conference honors this season, boasts a 10-4 overall record a perfect 5-0 NEC mark, which puts the Green & White in a first-place tie with Bryant. These teams will meet at Hameline Field on Friday, April 27 in 3:00 p.m., with the NEC regular season title on the line.

In the two wins over the weekend, Dehm tallied 10 goals, on just 14 shots, which computes to a sizzling 71.4 shooting percentage. In Friday's win at LIU Brooklyn, the junior poured in a career-high six goals, all coming in the first half, and added one assist.  Two days later, Dehm notched four goals to help Wagner come back from a three-goal second-half deficit. The Baldwinsville, NY native, whose 30 goals on the season rank second on the team, added two caused turnovers and a ground ball in the victory.
In earning her fourth NEC Rookie of the Week honor this season, Alliegro compiled 13 points on eight goals and five assists in the Seahawks' two wins and now ranks second on the Seahawks with 43 points on the year (25g, 15a). The freshman midfielder tallied a game-high eight points on four goals and four assists in the win over LIU Brooklyn on Friday. The Bayport, NY product added four more goals and an assist in the victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday. In the pair of weekend wins, Alliegro also added 13 draw controls - including nine vs. SHU, which give her a team-high 45 DCs, a figure that ties for ninth on the Seahawk all-time single-season list.
Wagner now turns its attention to Friday's contest vs. defending NEC champion Bryant. The winner of Friday's matchup will host the 2018 NEC Tournament, with the semifinals of the four-team tourney set for May 3, and the championship game to take place on May 5.
