Heather Jacobs has announced the Seahawks' 2017-18 schedule, a 29-game slate that features 11 non-conference games, followed by 18 Northeast (NEC) Conference contests.
During the non-conference portion of the schedule, the Green & White will square off against teams from the ACC, The American, America East, the Big South, Colonial Athletic, Ivy and Patriot Leagues.
The Seahawks, who will be playing seven of their first eight games on the road, kick off the season with a two-game swing through the state of Virginia beginning on November 10 with a trip to ACC members, Virginia Tech. The two-game tour concludes on November 12 at James Madison of the CAA.
Wagner travels to the "City of Brotherly Love" as they square off against Wagner travels to Philadelphia to meet the Temple University Owls of The American.
The 2017-18 home opener for the Seahawks is set for November 18 as Wagner takes on the first of three America East foes, welcoming New Hampshire to the friendly confines of the Spiro Sports Center.
Four straight road games close out the first month of the season as the Green & White make the short trek to Division III local rival, the College of Staten Island on November 22. The Seahawks will square off against back-to-back America East opponents in Albany on November 22 and Stony Brook on November 26. The final road contest of the non-conference slate pits Wagner against Towson on November 30.
December commences with the final three out-of-conference opponents paying a visit to Staten Island, beginning on December 10 when the Seahawks welcome Big South members, Longwood. A week later on December 17, Ivy League members, Princeton, makes the short trip to Grymes Hill before Wagner hosts Patriot League members, Lafayette on December 20.
Wagner begins NEC-league play with a pair of home tilts against Fairleigh Dickinson (January 6) and Sacred Heart (January 8). Following two straight "road" contests against local rivals LIU Brooklyn (January 13) and St. Francis Brooklyn (January 15), the Seahawks return to the Spiro Sports Center for tests against Robert Morris (January 20) and Saint Francis U (January 22). The Green & White then complete the first month of NEC-play with a trip to Emmitsburg, MD in squaring off against Mount St. Mary's (January 27).
February pits Wagner hosting their local counterparts with St. Francis Brooklyn (February 3) and LIU Brooklyn (February 5) paying a visit to Grymes Hill. The Seahawks will then hit the road beginning on February 10 at Sacred Heart and concluding the road voyage at Fairleigh Dickinson on February 12.
The final regular season homestand keeps Wagner on Staten Island as they host Central Connecticut on February 17, Bryant on February 19 and the home finale on February 24 against Mount St. Mary's.
The Seahawks close out the 2017-18 regular season with a trip to Western Pennsylvania as they take on defending league champions, the Robert Morris University Colonials on March 2 and close the year in Loretto, PA against Saint Francis U on March 4.

Tanasia Russell (Vineland, NJ / Vineland) tossed in a career-high 22 points, to lead Wagner to an impressive 87-71 at first-place SFU, who was tied with Robert Morris and Sacred Heart.
The win marked Wagner's season highs in points scored (87), rebounds (47), free throw attempts (31) and free throws made (42) while registering their second-highest season marks in field goal percentage (.531), field goals made (26) and steals (11). The victory also gave the Seahawks' first road win over Saint Francis U since January 4, 2010, when they earned a 76-74 overtime win in Loretto, PA.
The 2017 NEC Tournament will again feature the top eight teams playing on the home court of the higher seeds. The quarterfinal round will be contested on Wednesday, March 7 with the semifinals tabbed for Thursday, March 8 and the championship game on Sunday, March 11.
