Staten Island, NY – When the McMenamin brothers
each scored a goal in a 7-6 win at VMI back on March 8, NCAA Division I men's lacrosse history was made as it marked the first time that three siblings had ever notched goals in the same game.
For good measure, the brothers, who hail from Longport, NJ and starred together at St. Augustine Prep, accomplished the feat again on March 26, accounting for seven of the Seahawks' 10 goals in a
10-8 home victory over NJIT.
The unprecedented feat by this Seahawk trio, who have played togther throughout their Wagner career, has gained the notice of several media outlets, including the
Staten Island Advance, Wagner's school newspaper, the
Wagnerian, as well as their hometown paper, the
Press of Atlantic City.

The 2016 Seahawks (6-8), who have set the Wagner single-season program record for wins in a season, will look to go out in style when they host Northeast Conference (NEC) rival Robert Morris on Senior Day this Saturday, April 30, in a rare 10:00 a.m. start at Hameline Field.
Each of the three McMenamin brothers has played instrumental roles for the Seahawks throughout their careers. Michael, who is 15 months older than fraternal twin brothers, William, and Patrick, is a fifth-year defensive midfielder for the Seahawks. William is a redshirt junior midfielder while Patrick is a redshirt junior who plays attack.
Michael has seen action in all 14 games for the Seahawks this season, and has gained starts in eight, is ranked third on the team in groundballs (30) and fourth in caused turnovers. Patrick, one of Wagner's four co-captains, ranks second on the team in points (29) and assists (13) and third in goals (16). William, who also serves a co-captain, leads the Seahawks in goals (24) and groundballs (49), and is third in points (27). He has also won 61-of-141 faceoffs on the season.
Top students as well, each of the three brothers are multiple All-NEC Honor Roll members. Michael is a graduate student who majors in Adolescent/Special Education while Patrick and William are both biopsychology majors who will compete on the 2017 team as graduate students.
