NEC Announces 2016 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

Somerset, NJ –
The Northeast Conference (NEC) men's lacrosse coaches have unanimously picked Bryant to win its fifth consecutive NEC Men's Lacrosse Title in 2016 as revealed in the annual preseason coaches' poll that was released today by the league office.
 
Saint Joseph's was tabbed to finish second. Hobart and Mount St. Mary's were voted third and fourth, respectively. Robert Morris was picked fifth followed by Sacred Heart to finish sixth and Wagner rounding out the seven team poll.
 
The defending NEC Tournament champion Bulldogs won their fourth consecutive title last spring with a 10-6 victory over Saint Joseph's.
 
Seahawk fifth-year head coach Matt Poskay welcomes back 25 letterwinners from last seasons' 4-9 squad. The 2016 roster is comprised of two fifth-years, four seniors, two redshirt juniors, eight juniors and nine sophomores, in addition to a deep and talented 13-man freshman class.
 
The Seahawks open the 2016 campaign with a 12:00 p.m. home game on Saturday vs. Manhattan.
