.
Wagner vs. Penn State
Leading off for the Seahawks in the top of the first inning was freshman
Brianna Tredway (Downington, PA / Downington West), who reached first base on a hit to right field, before stealing second base. Wagner then plated the first run of the game, when
Kelsey Parker (Lynnwood, WA / Lynnwood) fired a shot up the middle to drive in Tredway, putting Wagner up 1-0.
In the bottom of the second inning, the Nittany Lions tied the game at 1-1 when Macy Jones' single pushed across Lexi Kneif. Jones then tallied her second RBI of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning, hitting a solo shot to center to make it 2-1.
Penn State's lead was short-lived, however, as
Abigail Beasley's (Peoria, AZ / Centennial) ground-rule double in the top of the fifth inning allowed
Taylor Beeson (Mesa, AZ / Red Mountain), who had reached on a fielder's choice, to score the tying run.
In the top of the seventh inning, Beeson reached first base on an error, before advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by Parker. Beasley then delivered a two-run home run over the right-centerfield fence, giving the Seahawks the 4-2 advantage.
Though the Nittany Lions were able to get one runner on base in the bottom of the seventh, the Seahawks' defense quickly shut down any hope of a Penn State comeback.
Overall, the Wagner pitching staff recorded impressive numbers.
Gina Massaro (Fairless Hills, PA / Conwell-Egan Catholic) tossed the first 4.1 innings for the Seahawks, tallying three strikeouts and allowing four hits.
Samantha Bedker (Phoenix, AZ / Sandra Day O'Connor) closed the final 2.2 innings, throwing two strikeouts while  allowing just one hit.
Wagner vs. Saint Joseph's University
The Seahawks controlled the game from the start, holding the Hawks scoreless for the first five innings before allowing a single run in the top of the sixth.
Wagner jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first, tallying four runs for a commanding 4-0 lead. Tredway led off the batting order for the Seahawks once again and quickly got things started with a single to left-centerfield. Beeson reached on an error, before Parker's sacrifice bunt allowed both Tredway and Beeson to advance to third and second base, respectively. Wagner then loaded the bases behind a Beasley base hit. Tredway then scored after being pushed across by senior
Kristen Matteoni (Reno, NV / Galena), who reached after she was hit by a pitch, to make it a 1-0 game.
Moments later, with the bases still loaded,
Brenda Bott (Fountain Valley, CA / Fountain Valley) lofted a sacrifice fly, driving in Beeson, to increase the Seahawks' lead to 2-0. With runners now at second and third,
Beth Lewis (Ashburn, VA / Stone Bridge) came up with an RBI single, scoring Beasley to make it 3-0.
Hayley Sullivan (Bakersfield, CA / North )then tallied Wagner's second consecutive RBI single to center, driving in Matteoni and extending the Seahawks' lead to 4-0.
The Green & White added a run in the second inning to bring the score to 5-0 when Tredway rocketed a double down the left field line and scored on a Parker RBI single through the left side. The Seahawks tacked on another run when Parker hit a shot over the fence for a solo home run.
The Hawks added their one run in the top of the sixth inning, but were unable to rally, as Wagner claimed the 6-1 victory.
Five different Seahawks combined for six RBIs during the game, as Matteoni, Bott, Lewis, and Sullivan recorded one RBI each, while Parker registered two RBIs.
McKaleigh Goodale (Bradenton, FL / Lakewood Ranch) hurled the first 4.1 innings for the Green & White, allowing just seven hits, while also registering two strikeouts. Bedker came on to pitch  the final 2.2 innings, allowing two hits while striking out two.
After two days of competition, Beeson leads the squad in runs scored (14), and is second in RBIs (11), while Parker increased her total RBI count to a team-high 17. Parker now has three home runs on the season which ties her with Beasley for the team lead.
