Wagner Athletics Presents "A Day in the Life of Dominique Williams"

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College Athletic Department is proud to present the first installment of the “A Day in the Life” feature, a video segment which follows a Seahawk student-athlete going through the day-to-day commitment and dedication required to be a Division-I student-athlete.

The initial episode is entitled “A Day in the Life of Dominique Williams,” and follows the dynamic junior running back throughout his first day of the Seahawks' 2012 preseason football camp. This is the first of six “A Day in the Life” features on Seahawk male and female student-athletes planned throughout the 2012-13 athletic season.

Since arriving on Grymes Hill in 2009 from Bridgeton, NJ, a small town some 50 miles south of Philadelphia, Dominique Williams has made his mark on both the Northeast Conference (NEC) as well as on the national stage.

In 2011, the 5-9, 200-pound speedster rushed for 1,338 yards, a total that ranked sixth on the school's all-time single-season rushing list. His 121.6 yards rushing per game average ranked fourth in the NEC and 11th nationally. For the season, Williams ran for 100 or more yards in eight of Wagner's 11 games, highlighted by a career-high 216 yards on 32 carries and four touchdowns in the 38-17 win at Robert Morris (11/12).

Williams, who sat out the 2010 season with an injury after an eye-opening freshman year in 2009, enters the 2012 campaign in eighth place on the Wagner all-time rushing list with 1,982 career yards. He has rushed for 100 yards or more yards in 12 of 19 career games and has been named to the 2012 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Running Back Watch List.
