Keller, Johnston Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Alex Johnston
Baltimore, MD – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team is one of just 51 programs in the nation to be recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for having a team grade point average of 3.0 or better. In addition, Alex Johnston (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) and Karlee Keller (Colorado Springs, CO / Cheyenne Mountain) were two of the 151 student-athletes from 62 different institutions that were included in the 2010 Academic Honor Roll.

All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.

“We are very proud of our entire team, especially Alex and Karlee, for their hard work and dedication in the classroom,” said Wagner head coach Cristina Curiale.

Johnston, a goalie who was the Seahawks' all-time leader in career saves, graduated in May with a 3.723 GPA and is pursuing a master's degree in Mathematics/Education while Keller, a midfielder, is entering her senior year and holds a 3.632 GPA while majoring in Business Administration/Philosophy.
