Fredrickson Leads Wagner To Third-Place Finish At Monmouth XC Kick-Off

Lincroft, NJ – Buoyed by Taylor Fredrickson's 13th-place finish, the Wagner women's cross country team placed third in the 4K (2.5 mile) Monmouth XC Kick-Off at Thompson Park. Fredrickson finished in a time of 15:23.3, leading the way for the Seahawks in a talented field that featured 78 runners.

Wagner Unveils Dr. Gregory P. Knapp '66 H'00 Strength Room
Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College athletics department formally dedicated the modern, fully-functional 3,076 square foot Dr. Gregory P. Knapp '66 H'00 Strength Room in the Spiro Sports Center on Friday. Following the dedication, an Open House for students, faculty and staff, complete with tours of the facility, took place throughout the afternoon.

Noreen Morris Named Commissioner of Northeast Conference
Somerset, NJ -- The Northeast Conference has named Noreen Morris as Commissioner, it was announced today by Vice Admiral Paul Gaffney, President of Monmouth University and President of the NEC Council of Presidents. Morris will assume her duties with the conference on January 4, 2010.

Dennis Has First Career Team-Best Finish at NEC Championships
Hamden, CT – Freshman #Kelly Dennis# (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) completed the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship 5K in 21:00.3 for her first career team-best finish. Dennis crossed the finish line in 56th place, but was the 17th freshman overall.

Cross Country Heads To Quinnipiac For NEC Championships
Somerset, NJ -  Marking the start of the fall championship season, Quinnipiac University hosts the 2009 Northeast Conference (NEC) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31. Both races will take place on QU’s course that winds through the scenic campus in Hamden, CT with the men trekking five miles (8K) beginning at 11:00 am and the women navigating a 5K loop starting at 12:00 pm.

Fredrickson Impresses at Central Connecticut State University 5K Mini Meet
New Britain, CT – Freshman #Taylor Fredrickson# (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) finished first for the fifth consecutive time at the Central Connecticut State University 3K Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park on Saturday. Fredrickson’s team best finish of 11:21.24 was good for 33rd place.
