STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
Men's Basketball
- Wagner wraps its non-conference road schedule at Maryland on Tuesday, December 2. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. inside the XFINITY Center in College Park, MD.
-The Seahawks will host their first game this season against Bryant & Stratton - Albany on Saturday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m.
- Most recently, junior Nick Jones was named the NEC Co-Player of the Week after recording 35 points, six assists, six rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in the Seahawks' 103-101 overtime victory over Manhattan. Sophomore Zavier Fitch was also named an NEC Prime Performer as recording his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds along with three blocks.
Men's Track & Field
- Wagner heads to the Youree Spence-Garcia Invite on Saturday, December 6, hosted by St. John's at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex.
- This will be the team's first season under new head coach Marvin Azor.
Women's Basketball
- Wagner heads to Ivy League member Columbia for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off against the Lions at Levien Gymnasium on Saturday, December 6.
- Most recently, the Seahawks took down Ivy League member Cornell by a score of 67-54 on Sunday, November 30.
Women's Track & Field
- The Seahawks open their season at the Youree Spence-Garcia Invite on Saturday, December 6, hosted by St. John's at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex.
- Wagner won the program's first NEC Indoor Championship last season, going on to also win its first NEC Outdoor Championship.
