Wagner Edged By Manhattan In Dual Meet

Cold Spring Harbor, NY -  The Wagner College men's golf team was narrowly edged by Manhattan on Monday in a dual meet at the par-70, 6,432-yard Huntington Country Club on Long Island.

Junior Eric Mathias (Martinsburg, WV/ Martinsburg) shot the best round of the day at Huntington, carding a 75 to lead all competitors. Two other Seahawks shot in the 70s, as sophomore Kyle Sullivan (Stony Point, NY/ Albertus Magnus) recorded a 78 and sophomore Jason Hopkins (Menifee, CA/ Paloma Valley) posted a 79.

Freshman Matt Kraus (Livingston, NJ/ Montclair Kimberley Academy) and senior Alex Carson (North Salem, NY/ North Salem) rounded out the scoring for Wagner.

The Seahawks return to action Sunday through Tuesday, Apr. 7-9, at the Lafayette Invitational, hosted by the Leopards in Easton, PA.
