Jacksonville, FL -
Former Wagner student-athlete Julian Stanford has made the final 53-man roster for the Jacksonville Jaguars. After signing as an undrafted free agent, the Connecticut product opened up camp with a bang and never let up en route to becoming the first former Seahawk to make a NFL Regular Season roster since Wagner Hall of Famer Rich Kotite (1967-1972).

Stanford clinched his spot on the roster after recording a team-best five tackles in Jacksonville's 24-14 win over Atlanta this past Thursday. He is one of six linebackers to make the Jaguars and figures to also contribute on special teams.

"I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues to support me ... it truly means a lot to me thank you!,'' Stanford said on Twitter.

He joins Dallas Cowboy wide recevier Miles Austin as the only former Northeast Conference (NEC) player currently on an active roster.

The Bloomfield, CT, native is also one of four undrafted free agents to make the Jacksonville roster. The closest the Jaguars come to the tri-state area is a week 13 tilt at Buffalo on Sunday, December 2 at 1:00 pm.
